Happy Sabbath 12/01/15

Dear mom,
I couldn't agree more, I have the best cheerleaders in the world, no matter what anyone else says! I absolutely LOVED my letters from Leah and Rachel today, they melt my heart every time! I was waiting to get my hair cut (I'll send pictures) and I showed their letters to the elders next to me and had them read them, I can't stop bragging about you guys! My Thanksgiving meal sounds mediocre to the obviously amazing meal you whipped up, I'm sure everyone loved it! It was strange not having to deal with the barrage of dishes that accompanies such a feast, I'm sorry you still have to deal with that. This thanksgiving was a non proselyting day, so we got to relax after studies. Myself and the other 3 elders in E-Town went to Radcliff with a member family and learned how to play frisbee golf, or frolfing as Elder Jacobsen calls it. I didn't take pictures I'm sorry, but we had so much fun and your offspring dominated! We went to a members' home. They are about as crazy as our family, but they are so caring! They had turkey, venison, ham, you name it and they had it on the table. What touched my heart was their willingness to give. Here is a family in which almost every person is working to provide for their needs, and most of the meal was from the ward, but they were willing to feed 4 other missionaries for Thanksgiving. That to me is a wonderful example of charity. After we ate with them, we went to the Brimhall home. I loved eating at their place because they had a Recees pie! We stayed at their house for another 3 hours or so and just played games! We played curses, and then their family wanted to play NERTZ. Sariah would be mad at me, cause I told them I didn't want to haha! I taught them how to play jacks or better and a game called scum. We played for hours and it was so much fun! Just got done playing basketball and I'm dying! Elder Haws had me buy a lot of healthy food today, not sure how much I'm gonna like it haha! Can you find our what size shirt dad is so I can get him a birthday present? And what does everyone want me to get for your Christmas gifts? Always thinking of my amazing family. I've been blessed to honor the crow name in my service and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world. I love serving my Heavenly Father in this part of his vineyard, even though it is difficult. There are times when I feel as if it's Elder Crow vs the world but I know I'm wrong. It's Elder Crow & Christ vs the world. I am needed here in Kentucky for reasons I don't even yet know. But I just want to serve Him and bring His children the joy and happiness this gospel has brought my family. Thank you so much for being such an amazing mother, to have built yourself such a firm foundation which you have helped us all build ourselves. The foundation I stand upon is Christ, but it is built by the faith and example of others such as you. I love you so much, you are the most amazing woman in the earth!
The last thing I'll send you is this poem I wrote during studies, I was reading in alma and thought about the kind of man he must have been to have preached and served like he did. Pass this on to Facebook, family, friends, whoever.

Works:
What kind of works have I wrought today,
Have I tried to learn and listen and pray?
Is there anyone out there who is closer to salvation
Because I am willing to take this gospel to every nation?
The field is white and ready for harvesters to reap
So how many times today have I tried to feed His sheep?
If I've done what I can and done what I should
Then I should be able to say that I've done some good.
That is something I pray I do every day, there is so much work to do
Because I will NEVER cease to be a missionary until every soul knows this is true!

Much love,
Elder Crow
